Aluminium Stepover Platforms
Fisher Alvin was approached by a customer from the Isle of Wight looking for a price to supply a solution for safely overcoming ducting pipe on their roof.
The Problem
After getting in contact with us, the customer provided several drawings which made it clear the solution would need to be bespoke.
The ducting pipe in question was very large, and the customer wanted to keep the weight of the solution to a minimum. Three platforms were required in total.
The Solution
After taking a look at the drawings, we initially quoted a galvanised Step Over Platform solution. However, following the customer’s request to keep the systems as lightweight as possible, we instead suggested an aluminium platform and revised the quotation.
After the customer approved the price, our design experts set to work putting together drawings for approval. After minimal changes, final approval was given and production began on three platform systems.

The Result
Once the components had been picked, we were able to pack the order on pallets ready to ship to the Isle of Wight. Thanks to their simple modular design, the client was able to install the platforms themselves quickly and easily.
The customer stated the quality of the product was excellent and they were very pleased with the results.
