Another Powerful Display

We’re always excited to see our Key Clamp Fittings used in interesting ways, so we were very interested when a customer approached us looking for a way to fix a newly designed Lidar system onto a trailer.

The Problem

Lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) is a remote sensing method using light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure ranges, similar to Radar but on land. 

This particular trailer system had been designed to deploy power supplies anywhere in the world, combining solar, wind, and fuel cell generators with a battery bank in a single trailer. The customer needed a bespoke frame to securely fix the Lidar system to the trailer.

The Solution

This was a very unique undertaking, but we were able to work closely with the customer to create the bespoke frame they needed, using simple, modular Key Clamps.

Key Clamps are perfect for building almost any kind of tubular structure with no need for welding, and they were ideal for the customer’s needs.

The Result

We worked closely with the customer on their design, ensuring it would function perfectly even under heavy use. They were very happy with the final result, and we are now working with them on further projects.
