Ordering and Quotes
How do I order key clamps from Fisher Alvin?
Send us a list of codes, a sketch or a photo through the quote form, email [email protected], or call 01905 779944. You can also add items to your quote list as you browse and send the whole list in one go.
How quickly will I get a quote?
Within one hour, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Enquiries that arrive outside those hours are quoted first thing the next working day.
Can I order from outside the UK?
Yes. We have key clamp stockists in many countries and deliver direct where there is no stockist.
Sizes and Specifications
Which size of fitting do I need?
Match the fitting to the outside diameter of your tube. We stock five sizes:

What are key clamps made from?
Malleable iron castings made to BS 6681 (ISO 5922) and BS 2789 (ISO 1083), hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461. Every clamp comes with Deltatone-coated, case-hardened set screws.
How strong is a key clamp joint?
Tightened to 39Nm (29ft/lb), each set screw gives a slip load of 900kg. Figures are for guidance only; dimensions and weights are subject to manufacturing tolerances.
Do I need special tools or welding?
No. Key clamps fit with a hex key. There is no welding, bending or threading of tube.
Do you supply fittings for square tube?
Yes. Our square fittings join square hollow section tube without welding, in galvanised or matt black e-coated finishes.
Finishes
What finishes are available?
Key clamps and tube are hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 as standard. We can quote for a powder coated finish if you need one.
Delivery and Cutting
How long does delivery take?
Stock orders are delivered next day across the UK. Orders that include tube cut to length can take two to three days, depending on your location and what you need.
What does delivery cost?
Delivery is charged at cost and depends on weight, volume and your location. We confirm the delivery charge with your quote, before anything is despatched.
Can you cut tube to length?
Yes, free. Tell us your lengths with your order and we cut the galvanised tube before it leaves the warehouse.
Design Help

Our free design service. Send us a drawing, a sketch or a photo with measurements and we will draw up the layout and list the parts you need.
What spacing do handrail kit uprights use?
Our key clamp handrail kits use uprights at 1300mm centres.
Do you supply handrail for accessible ramps and steps?
Yes. Our DDA handrail range gives a smooth, continuous rail for ramps and steps, designed for the Equality Act 2010 and Building Regulations Approved Document M.
