Handrails for Folcrete

We recently worked with a blue-chip company who were looking to maximise the health and safety of workers and visitors on their site.

The Problem

The customer, who prided themselves on their dedication to health and safety, had identified an area where customers and staff were being put at unnecessary risk due to the lack of a handrail or barrier outside their premises.

The Solution

After an initial consultation, the customer took advantage of our free design service to create a full Key Clamp handrail kit solution that would fully protect those moving from their cars into the building.

Between us, we designed a double handrail system using Key Clamps and steel tube, which would demarcate a safe route through the car park in a clear way. The modular design of our handrails meant that should a section be damaged by a vehicle, it could easily be replaced, unlike fabricated alternatives.

After putting together a full bill of quantities based on our discussions, the customer happily approved the design, and we set to work picking the correct components, including cutting the tube.

The Result

As the car park was regularly busy throughout the week, special arrangements were made to clear the site for delivery on the weekend, allowing the customer to safely install the barriers themselves on Saturday.

The customer was more than happy with the system once in place, and we were glad to play a part in their mission to keep everyone on their site safe.
