The 198 double sided lip collar plate joins square hollow section (box section) tube, 25x25mm and 40x40mm, without welding. It is used in furniture, retail displays, trade show stands and storage racks, where the frame can be taken apart and rebuilt when the layout changes.

Codes ending Z are matt black e-coat (RAL 9005).
Features
- No welding. Bolts tightened with an Allen key lock the joint in place, with no welding or specialist tools.
- Reusable. Undo the bolts and the frame comes apart, so the fitting can be used again in the next display or stand.
- Two finishes. Galvanised suits outdoor use and semi-outdoor commercial settings. Matt black e-coat is for indoor furniture and displays where appearance matters.
- Not for safety rails. Square fittings are not suitable for safety applications such as handrails or guardrails, whatever the fitting name. For those, use round tube with key clamp fittings.
Standards and Testing
The galvanised finish is to BS EN ISO 1461. If your specification calls up a particular standard, send it with your enquiry and we will confirm what the fitting meets.

Matching tube: steel square tube 25x25mm or black steel square tube 25x25mm, or steel square tube 40x40mm or black steel square tube 40x40mm, cut to size free.
