A raised rooflight cover primary panel: a galvanised mesh panel on a galvanised frame, secured over an unprotected rooflight so nobody can fall through it, without blocking the light into the building. The raised model is mounted above the rooflight to leave a greater distance between the mesh panel and the rooflight, so in the event of a fall the cover takes the weight without damaging the rooflight. Made for metal profile roofs on warehouses, factories, agricultural buildings and commercial properties.
Also available as a 1 x 2m raised primary panel, and as a standard model that fixes almost flat to the roof. For bigger rooflights add raised extension panels: 2 x 1m, 1 x 1m or 1 x 2m.

Features
- Covers the hazard. It covers the rooflight rather than fencing it off, so people can work closer to it.
- Lets the light in. Natural light still passes through the mesh into the building.
- Raised clear of the rooflight. The greater gap between mesh and rooflight means a fall is taken by the cover, not the rooflight.
- Modular. Primary and extension panels combine to fit bigger or different shaped rooflights, and are easy to carry onto the roof.
- Built to last. All parts, including the mesh, are hot-dip galvanised for corrosion resistance. The frame and panel will not go brittle.
- Can be seen. The tube can be colour coated where the cover needs to stand out.
- Protects everyone. Collective fall protection for everyone on the roof.
Standards and Testing
Rooflight covers are listed as tested to EN ISO 1873:2014 Part 2. If your specification calls up a particular standard, send it with your enquiry and we will confirm what the cover meets.
Often Used With
Skylight guardrails for rooflights on flat membrane roofs, where the rooflight is fenced off rather than covered. Where people also work near the roof edge, see roof edge protection, and on plant maintenance routes, step-over platforms.
