Skylight Guardrail Kit with Gate for Rooflight 2.0m x 1.5m: a freestanding guardrail kit that surrounds a 2.0m x 1.5m rooflight so nobody can step onto it, with a gate for access to the rooflight. It lets maintenance teams and contractors work on flat and low-pitch roofs without the risk of walking onto an unguarded skylight, rooflight or dome light.
For larger rooflights see the 2.0m x 2.0m kit (FAK2) and the 2.0m x 3.2m kit (FAK3). Those kits do not include a gate.

Features
- Nothing through the roof. Recycled PVC bases lock the posts in position around the rooflight. No drilling and no waterproofing to repair.
- Gate included. Gives access into the guarded area when someone needs to reach the rooflight.
- Rigid frame. Key clamp fittings and galvanised tube build a rigid guardrail around the rooflight.
- Quick to put together. Fittings tighten with a hex key. No welding.
- Easy to get onto the roof. Component based, so the parts carry up in manageable pieces.
- Long lasting. All fittings are galvanised, so the system is close to maintenance free.
- Any roof surface. Suits any roof surface up to 3° pitch, including flat membrane roofs, around square and rectangular skylights, rooflights and dome lights.
Standards and Testing
Skylight guardrails are listed as compliant with BS EN ISO 14122 Part 3. If your specification calls up a particular standard, send it with your enquiry and we will confirm what the kit meets.
Often Used With
Rooflight covers for rooflights on trapezoidal or standing seam metal roofs. Where people work near the roof edge as well, see roof edge protection. Extra key clamp fittings and galvanised tube, cut to length free, for rooflights that do not match a kit.
Order and Quote
Measure the rooflight’s overall length and width, check the roof pitch is 3° or less, and add the kit to your quote. Tell us the roof surface and send a photo if you have one. Guarding a few rooflights can cost less than full edge protection, and our free design service will size a system for any rooflight that does not match a kit. Stock orders go out for next-day delivery, and we reply to quotes within one hour in working hours.
