Not sure it is the right part? and we will check it for you.

A standard rooflight cover extension panel. Start with a standard primary panel and add extension panels to cover bigger or different shaped rooflights, with galvanised mesh over the rooflight so nobody can fall through it and the light still gets into the building. The standard model fixes almost flat to the roof surface and is designed to be permanently secured directly over the rooflight, which suits long-term protection.

Use it with a standard primary panel, 2 x 1m or 1 x 2m. Other standard extensions: 1 x 1m and 1 x 2m. For the raised model, see the 2 x 1m raised extension.

Features

  • Covers the hazard. It covers the rooflight rather than fencing it off, so people can work closer to it.
  • Lets the light in. Natural light still passes through the mesh into the building.
  • Low profile. Fixes almost flat to the roof surface and is permanently secured over the rooflight.
  • Modular. Primary and extension panels combine to fit bigger or different shaped rooflights, and are easy to carry onto the roof.
  • Built to last. All parts, including the mesh, are hot-dip galvanised for corrosion resistance. The frame and panel will not go brittle.
  • Can be seen. The tube can be colour coated where the cover needs to stand out.
  • Protects everyone. Collective fall protection for everyone on the roof.

Standards and Testing

Rooflight covers are listed as tested to EN ISO 1873:2014 Part 2. If your specification calls up a particular standard, send it with your enquiry and we will confirm what the cover meets.

Often Used With

Skylight guardrails for rooflights on flat membrane roofs, where the rooflight is fenced off rather than covered. Where people also work near the roof edge, see roof edge protection, and on plant maintenance routes, step-over platforms.
