Garment Rail Kits: Ready-Made Key Clamp Clothes Rails

Our shop fit kits are ready-made garment rails in 33.7mm (size 6) galvanised tube, sent in kit form for minimal assembly with an Allen key. There are six rails, freestanding or wall to floor, single or double, on feet or braked castor wheels, plus an extension kit for a longer wall run. They are for shops and retail outlets that want a standard rail without designing one.

How to Choose a Garment Rail Kit

Three questions settle it.

1. Will the rail stay put or move? Fixed along a wall: wall to floor. On the shop floor: freestanding.
2. One hanging level or two? Single for one level at 1400mm. Double for two levels at 1800mm.
3. Feet or wheels? Feet for a semi-permanent position. Braked castor wheels if the rail moves when the layout or the season changes.

Freestanding or Wall to Floor

Freestanding rails stand on their own. With feet, they suit a semi-permanent position. With braked castor wheels, they move around the shop, then lock in place.

Wall to floor rails fix to the wall and the floor, so they stay put. They suit a permanent run of stock along a wall. Add the extension kit to the wall to floor garment rail when you need a longer run. The wall to floor hanging rails are fixed double hanging rails, 1800mm high and 400mm wide.

Single or Double Rail

The single rail stands 1400mm high and gives one hanging level. The double rail stands 1800mm high with a second rail, and the mid rail can be moved to the height your stock needs, so short and long garments can share one unit. Both freestanding rails are 1600mm long and 600mm wide.

What Arrives and How It Goes Together

Kits arrive in kit form: key clamp fittings and galvanised tube cut to length. There is no welding, drilling or threading. Each fitting locks onto the tube with a set screw tightened with an Allen key.

On one golf shop job, the customer put two bespoke garment rails together themselves in 30 minutes, using just an Allen key. Kits use the same fittings and tube.

The braked castor wheel (LSV-75) is also sold on its own for size 6 tube, if you want to make an existing freestanding rail mobile.

Finishes

Fittings and tube are hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 as standard, which gives the industrial look many retailers want. For a black or colour finish, ask for powder coating when you request a quote. On the golf shop job, the tube went to our powder coaters for a black finish to match the store, and everything was back within five days.

One fashion retailer we had supplied with freestanding and wall to floor rails for around a year needed an empty store converted in days.
